のことです。

アマチュア無線でやることじゃないなどといわれてしまったり
しているAPRSですが、以前阪本さんの紹介してくださった
SPARTANへの搭載やMIRからの送信、アマチュア無線衛星を
経由した位置情報の報告なども盛んです。
日本でもちょっと違った仕掛けの同様なシステムが市販されて
いますがAPRSのほうが機能が多いようですね。

APRSのWeb Siteは

後者では地域を選択すると世界中のアクティビティを
リアルタイム見ることができます。すでにどなたかが
報告されていましたね。

残念ながら日本には常設のIGateがありませんので、
日本が見えることはまれとのこと。

この仕掛けを利用すると、近所や特定の地域で運用中のアマチ
ュア衛星地上局をWeb上で探したりなどということができたりします。
