１９９８年７月２０日の状況
すでにお馴染みになったといってもよい深いＱＳＢの谷は別として、ＡＯ−１０
からの信号は強い状態が続いています。 この現象は円偏波の偏波面が大きく変
化していることに起因しているようです。それに加えて、遠地点付近にあっても
信号が強いことを考え合わせると、ＡＯ−１０の高利得アンテナが作動している
証拠といえます。 私の最善の推測では、最近の周期における最低点は、
ほぼ４月２４日ごろであったと考えます。
１９９８年７月２０日時点でのＡＬＯＮ／ＡＬＡＴの推測値は９１／２０で太陽
に対する角度は＋１０度、９９％の照射率と考えます。
上述のように、現在は高利得アンテナが動作中であると思われます。

Current Status: 1998,07,20
AO-10's signals continue to be stronng, with the exception of deep QSB fades
that have become well known. These show tremendous response to change in
circular polarization. This in conjunction with the strong signals heard near
apogee are convincing evidence that AO-10 is functioning on its Hi-Gain
antennas. As best I can determine, the low point of the last cycle occurred
on approximately April 24th. My guestimated ALON/ALAT for 1998/07/20 is 91/20,
giving a solar angle of +10 degs, and 99% illumination.
As noted previously, the Hi-Gain antennas do appear to be currently active.
