AO-40の管制局の1人である Stacey, W4SM が、amsat-bbに　AO-40 Updateを
流していましたので、紹介します。

　AO-40のドリフトは、実際のドリフトレートが予想の約85％だったため、予定よりも
ややゆっくりのペースで進みました。AO-40の現在の姿勢は、ALON/ALAT=342/28です。
これは太陽の後方を見る位置にあたり、この位置からALATを減少させていけば、
(YACEカメラによる)画像取得が可能です。当面は、ALONを342に維持したまま、ALATを
10度程度まで下げて画像を取得し、引き続きALATを減少させていくことにします。
トランスポンダーの運用は、もう7〜10日間オフの状態が続く見込みですが、オービット
の前半からでもできるだけ早く再開できるようにしたいと考えています。

The drifting has proceeded at about 85% of the predicted rate, so we have 
been a little slower moving then we would have liked.  However, we are now 
at about ALON/ALAT =342/28.  We are past the sun so we have some room now 
to lower ALAT and take some pictures.  For the moment, we will hold ALON at 
~342 and lower ALAT to approx. 10 degs, take some pictures and proceed from 
that point.  The passband will probably be off for another 7-10 days, but 
will be active as soon as possible, with the first half of the orbit favored..
