しかし、これらの機能は、地上で衛星から送られてくる 145.825MHz のダウンリ
ンク信号を受信するインターネット・ゲートウェイ局が無くては機能しません。
アメリカやヨーロッパは簡単です。が、すべての国・地域でおよそ 1000 マイル
(1,600km) 毎で、これを引き受けてくれるゲート局を探すのは困難です。もしあ
なたがこれらの遠隔地域に居るなら、このネットワークへの参加を考えてみてく
れませんか?。

  PCsat のダウンリンクは 145.825MHz、1200/9600bps が混在で降りてきます。
ゲート局に必要なのは、この周波数で 1200/9600bps のパケットを受信する設備
(アンテナはGPでOK)を常時動かし、そのデータをインターネットにリアル
タイムで流す設備、と言うことになります。該当の周波数に違法局か存在する地
域での運用は難しいでしょうが、アマチュア無線の現状からして、地方都市であ
れば問題なく運用できそうな気がします。
  キーポイントのネット常時接続については、CATV、ADSL やフレッツ ISDN な
どのサービスによって、日本の地方都市でもずいぶん可能になっています。ただ
し、具体的なテータの交換方法が不明なので、IP アドレスが固定できない、あ
るいは特定の TCP ポートや方向のパケットしか認めない、このようなサービス
で対応できるかどうかは、詳しく無いのでわかりません。

  と言う訳で、北日本地区で、パソコンに詳しく、手持ちに空いている 2m FM
機と無指向性アンテナ、1200/9600bps パケットの受信設備があり、ネットへの
常時接続環境を持っている方がいらっしゃいましたら、この実験に協力されると
よろしいかと思います。
