AO-40コマンドチーム DB2OS Peterからamsat-bbに送られた朗報です。

サンタクロース、AO-40を連れ戻す！ 

皆さん
たったいま、ニュージランドとオーストラリアから AO-40 が送信を
再開したとの連絡を受けたところです。
12/25 の 21:45 UTC(12/26 6:45 JST)、Ian ZL1AOX が RESETコマン
ドとともに、S2 S帯送信機を ON にする初期化プログラムをLバンド
から送信しました。
最初の試みの後すぐに、S2 ビーコンが 2401.305MHz で送られてき
ました。ビーコン強度は S5〜6 と、S2が試験中に最後に受信された
ときの強度と変りませんでした。
30 分間以上信号は続き、12/26 の 00:30 UTCには、信号強度はS1以
下にまで落ちました。
このビーコンは、Graham VK5GR を含むいくつかのオーストラリアの
局によっても確認されています。
もしこれが本当なら、これからやらなければならないことは山ほどあ
りますが、少なくとも方向は間違っていない、と言えるでしょう。
次は、IPS（IHU の OS）のアップロードを試みることになります。
ここ2日間の、V帯の送信機をONにしようする全ての試みは、うまく
いきませんでした。そこで作戦を変え、Sバンドを試みることにした
のです。
