amsat-bbに G7UPN, Chris Jacksonが UO-36のＳバンドダウンリンクの
テスト運用について書いていましたので、紹介します。２件あります。

>For stations in Europe, we will be resuming testing of the S band downlink
>on UO-36 again this evening.  The first pass will be at 15:20UTC and it is

ヨーロッパの各局のみなさん
UO-36のＳバンドダウンリンクのテスト運用を今晩から再開します。最初のパスは、
15:20z（訳者注：1999年6月21日）のパスで、10分間にわたってＳバンドダウンリンクを
ONにする予定です。送信出力は 1500mW、変調は 1Mb/s の BPSK、帯域幅は 1MHz、
周波数は 2401MHzです。

トランスバーターのテストをするのに有用だと思います。もし、受信できるかたが
おられたら、私にメールをください。

>Testing was stopped over the past few weeks as the satellite has not been

Ｓバンドダウンリンクのテスト運用は、過去数週間休止していました。これは
衛星が連続して太陽に当たっており、衛星の温度が非常に高かったためです。
そのような時期が終わったので、われわれはまた画像の撮影やペイロードのテスト
ができるようになりました。

現在のテストは 1MB/s BPSKです。送信は、通常の Pacsat Broadcast Protocolが
用いられます。少なくもと当面はブロードキャストプロトコルが使われますが、将来、
事情が変わったとしても従来のブロードキャストプロトコルと互換性のあるものが
使われるでしょう。
