[jamsat-bb:4205] AO-10 Current Status: 1998,02,24

W4SM Stacey E. Mills 氏の Web Page に掲載されたAO−10の近況です。

Current Status: 1999,02,24
AO-10 is currently in "sleep mode" and is essentially non-functional for
transponder usage. The beacon can only be detected as a very weak signal
with deep QSB when the satellite is near perigee. If past trends are any
indication, this condition should start to improve in 4 to 6 weeks as the
solar angle on the panels decreases to supply more power. The Argument of
Perigee is increasing at rate of approximately 0.26 deg/day. Throughout
1999, apogee will remain in the northern hemisphere, but has now begun
moving southward. NORAD appears to be having chronic problems acquiring
AO-10 and determining its orbital elements. Using RF ranging software
and hardware developed by James Miller/G3RUH and orbital calculation
software ported by me to the Win95 OS, new keplerian elements have been
calculated. These are posted at the end of the page. Additional
transponder ranging measurements cannot be obtained until downlink
signals improve.
